DEPARTMENT OF CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION

MISSION

The primary mission of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Manisa Celal Bayar University is to educate experts and researchers in the field of curriculum development who are committed to education, free scientific thought, social responsibility, human rights, and respect for individuality and initiative. Our mission also emphasizes raising creative and productive individuals who are constructive, democratic, secular, modern, and devoted to Atatürk’s principles and reforms, while instilling these values in students.

VISION

The vision of our department is to train curriculum developers for official and private educational institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, as well as curriculum development experts tasked with educational responsibilities in public institutions and the private sector. To achieve this, we aim to create learning environments where students can discuss and solve educational issues, develop an awareness of social responsibilities, value quality in academic work, and embrace interdisciplinary approaches. Our vision includes fostering an environment that supports creativity and productivity, organizing national and international congresses, symposiums, panels, conferences, workshops, and similar events in collaboration with various sub-disciplines of educational sciences and other social sciences, conducting theoretical and applied research projects, and publishing findings. We are committed to establishing physical and technological environments that facilitate access to information, communication, and interaction for students, academic, and administrative staff. Additionally, we strive to carry out all academic and administrative activities with honesty, transparency, democracy, and a participatory approach, ensuring their sustainability. Our ultimate goal is to educate a qualified workforce with research skills and technological competence who can explore new problem areas and integrate their abilities in line with scientific and technological advancements.
