Science Education Program began to admit teacher candidates in 1992. There are 446 students still studying in the program. In the department, beside undergraduate education, graduate training is provided. Post-graduate courses are carried by Celal Bayar University Institute of Science and Technology. The purpose of the department is to train professional staff equipped with scientific knowledge and skills to serve as a teacher of Science and Technology in private and public elementary schools of Ministry of National Education. Training time is 8 semesters in 4 academic years.
